Alone

started as a song, ended up as a poem.

I stand alone here
Alone but not without fear
And I'm determined to make it through
If I can just keep in mind I have you

I stand with you here
There still remains fear
But I know I'll make it through
If I remember I have you

I stand alone here
The fear is shown tonight
As the dread sinks in
I will no longer try to fight
For I made it through
With or without you
Still I am alone, besides my fear
Now I die alone here

Author's Note

I've been told that this poem is "redundant" but I actually am fond of it, what do you think?
