another one of my favorites from the poems i did. when i wrote this, i really was just a friend and there was this guy. "eventually" we did get together. however, i did not count on us breaking up three years later...but this is still a nice che

Whenever I feel blue, you're always there to comfort me.
Whenever I am happy, you're still there, cheering me on.
Whenever I need to talk, you make sure your lines are free.
Whenever I feel depressed, you make me laugh a ton.
I have no idea what I'd do without you.
I don't know what life would be like without you around.
You have always been there, always faithful and true;
You are the best friend I am lucky to have found.
One day, I just found myself staring into your eyes
And I noticed that for some reason, it felt different.
And as you were staring back right into my eyes,
I saw an understanding in them that was imminent.
You smiled. I asked you why and you said, "Finally..."
"I knew you would learn to love me back eventually..."
