The Mortal

The Mortal

A Poem by J.S. Scot

Don't want to sound so mortal
But I do wish for a portal
To somewhere or somehow
A storm is brewing, ready to plow
I shake, no I quiver
I have a paddle, though I'm on an icey river.
I like the rain, I love the pain
It's a friend, I resume to ordain.
The love preaches til it's finish
The sin still whispering whines of a menace.
I just hold my head down and pray
What for the All mighty to say
"I love you, no matter what you do"
I did a lot, that's why I feel like poo
Please excuse the elementary language.
I reread the line and fell to such much anguish.
Doesn't seem so educational, so religious
Felt like sometimes the world just like to kid us.
Everyday a new motto, or a new shiny toy
It's a man's world , no time to even be a boy.
But we still persevere into this hole of an existence
Poo is a feeling? This place doesn't make any sense

Author's Note

J.S. Scot
I wrote this a while back, and I don't have a clue if I was mad at the world or just confused on becoming man. Either way I felt like...well poo
