Elbow Grease

Elbow Grease

A Poem by Berniece

Don’t thank me

for those repairs

Pay me what you owe me

Your oily helplessness

clogs the filters

You threw my torque wrench

in a fit of rage

Fix it yourself

I liked the maintenance

until you took it

for granted

I’m not

your mechanic

Matter of fact

I won’t even bill you

Just leave my shop
