Goodbye

 

A cross I have bared upon my chest

My heart worn on a sleeve.

Only your name etched deep in my soul

Yet tears streaked down a tethered face.

I danced upon every cloud,

Then one by one

My feathered wing you did pluck.

Like a velvet rose petal

Your beauty captured me.

Whilst your thorns struck deep

My passion knew only forgiveness.

Pictures now tucked away,

Your memory I will a;lways keep

Farewell my truest love

My heart is now laid to rest…
