North Sea

North Sea

A Poem by Jack

Hurtling across the open space
the inevitability of meeting
the unyielding thickened pane of glass
Searing pain stabbing it way through
the fog of consciousness and
dreaming the realism of hands gathering
to stem the red flow
I looked forward
seeing the green black monster
reaching over
wanting to crush me to its'
watery chest
The battle scarred trawler
momentarily stunned
regathered and ploughed through
the heart of the twenty metre wave

Oh this is great.
Dark and masculine and full of images in green and red with lashings of salt spray as the trawler cuts through the huge sea and all on board, hold on for dear life. Great stuff, life of legends captured by the writers hand.
Thanks greatly for the shot of realism.

Being an old ex-sailor, I love these sea faring tales. I've never been to the North Sea, but I've seen some angry ones, including the Bearing.

Very good, I really love the imagery and the rythm was very good.

This is a short and exciting piece. You expressed yourself very eloquently and created a lot of great imagery. I guess "trawler" is "traveler"? Nicely done.
