Vanished.A Poem by Thomas FitzgeraldA prose to ponder and fear for the weekend!A slight tremble crosses lashes closed, Bright souls leave this gaol of flesh, No hope is often the worst of all, Clear silence has heaped in on mesh. Dark and smog smother your body, Breath falls heavy on my naked nape, Grunting lasts for times unknown now, No pleading for life just Eden's grape. An apple of Sodom lays heavy in veins, Sleeping comes so quick between aches, Ticking sounded by bone not of clock, Those nails leaving cuts like sharpened rakes. Never fear those gone or to come in your stead, They too have dreams to be banished, A monster he may be we all know that, In time my sweet we all shake and are vanished. © 2014 Thomas FitzgeraldAuthor's Note
