Lonely.

extreme quickie, took maybe 2 minutes.

 I’m happiest when I’m on my own,

With no one to mock me.

Just me and my books and music,

In a corner of the room.

I’ve never been lonely on my own,

But I always am when surrounded my people.

People with lovers, husbands, wives,

Happy people.

I long for that loneliness to leave me,

To drift off to the stars.

And one day it will,

I know it will.

But that day seems too far.
