Stage

Stage

A Story by Katryna Warnelis

And what a glorious thing it would be; entering a room, the sound of my feet pattering on the floor of the stage that’s surrounded by an endless amount of faces and hands and, suddenly, screams, yells, “I love you”s fulfill my ears, and I cry. What used to be a passion, a dream that would never become reality, now is, and I can’t help but tear at the absolute sobriety and sanity I am, that this is real. This is my life. All I have ever wanted in one instant. And so I continue; I take a breath, put my quivering lips to the microphone, and instruments begin to fill the ears of these people, and my voice begins to fill their hearts, and so I know this, my heart is full. A glorious thing.
