Praying, Hoping, Waiting

Hiding in the shadows
One step behind all the rest
Praying that someone will notice

Slouching at the back of the class
Staring down at shaking hands
Hoping the pain will end

Crying quietly in a corner
Letting the sobs overtake her
Waiting for him to go away

Maybe change the last line from "But nothing ever does" to "But nothing ever changes"??? I feel as though the flow would work better that way, just my opinion.
Otherwise...its phenomenal, definitely something i can relate to!

Ouch...I can so relate to this,and unfortunately it leaves me reminiscing and tearing open old wounds. But thats a very good quality to have in writing though,that severe and heartfelt impact. The ability to drive the message and the emotion home,and sometimes to make it so much so that it's a little too close for comfort.
