Wow, you definitely understand the power of repetition. The hindsight remorse is evident. I can picture a (ragged) man repeating this into a half empty glass of inexpensive scotch, almost hypnotic. "Your eyes are mine. still" is an eerie yet powerful line. Given a different tone in the poem, this could be what every lover wants to hear. In this context, it's just disarming. I'm consistently amazed by the power of your work.
Other than that, it was pretty unusual how you repeated some few lines, it's like hearing those words becoming louder each time I read the same lines over. It's all good here...
Never heard of the song, but I like the poem! When I read it, my mind got pulled into it like listening to a witches spell...think "double double toil and trouble", but way cooler obviously.
A man has an idea. It's not an idea that will change the world, but if it can change just one soul, when accomplished, it will all have been worthwhile. Everyday literate people read. It makes no diff.. more..
