The other part of me

I suffer from depression and this is often how I feel. This is exactly what I'm feeling right now.

Familiar numbness taking over.

Spreading through my mind and body.

Trapping me in darkness.

Unrelenting depression singing a song.

Such a sweet melody.

Barely audible in this engulfing night.

Swallow me whole.

Let me sink into your cold embrace.

It is done.

I am no longer myself.

The other one has arrived.
