Key to your heart

I'm beginning to think..

What I feel we had, was make believe..

Like I was too blind to see..

That you was wanting me to believe..

You felt for me, what I felt for you..

What I feel for you..

Maybe you felt cornered, maybe you felt trapped..

I'm just stating what I see & it seems like i'm stating facts..

Now it may not be true..

But as I stand here a fool..

I'm trying to understand..

Why you would take him, over me, to be your man..

When it seemed as we were reconnecting & connecting on a deeper bases..

Upon my face is, the expression of what the hell..

I wanna say oh well..

You made your choice but of course..

I can't because the love you claim to have felt for me, I still feel..

My love is so real..

That it could be compared to a movie love or a fairytale..

It's uncertain if yours was..

Because, if it was..

How could you stand being apart??

And how can you give a guy who hasn't earned the right, to hold the key to your heart???

I feel this poem hits home. Just went through a break up and it's hard to tell that they care when they can leave so easily. The confusion and the hurt really comes through. Good job!
