Only a dream

Her fingers slide between mine & we're holding hands..

As our hearts melt & our souls connect to become one..

She looks in my eyes..

Says she loves me yet I can't help but think it's a lie..

So I bug out & lose my mind..

Begin the yelling & throwing things around..

Til she wraps her arms around me from behind to calm me down..

She says this is real & turns me toward her to kiss my lips..

Oh how i've missed her lips..

I put my hand against hers & interlock our fingers for i've missed her touch..

I've missed her so much..

That I begin to cry..

Then she cries..

And I wipe the tears from her eyes as she wipes the tears from mine..

I tell her I love her & just as she goes to say it back..

I'm awoken..

Back in my bed..

It was all in my head..

It was just a dream..

A dream that felt so real..

And when I had opened my eyes to see she wasn't there..

I yelled, "NO, PLEASE COME BACK FOR I NEED YOU HERE"
