A New Day

Was overwhelmed, suffering from an unprotected heart

Deluged with pain, acknowledged by forthwith impart

Determined to honor my spirit by removing the dross

Starting to rejuvenate my emotions no matter what the cost

 

The flow of my soul deserves sweet available intimacy

Built from the blocks of pure and unwavering certainty

Ready to live courageously and in the absence of fears

Releasing all circumstances that give cause for tears

 

Wanting to experience nature’s bountiful offerings

Planting my feet and gaining control of my bearings

Moving forward on the timelines of choice and happiness

Withholding mistrust while opening myself in blitheness

 

No longer distracted by conflicting claims and sorrows

Reminiscing of fond times, gaining bliss from repose

Reaching contentment while supporting sacred sincerity

Choosing to explore my ready heart with great humility

 

Will eventually share myself with another’s beloved reality

Escaping indifference and lack of emotional unavailability

Opening within me all the doors of smile-soothing clarity

Adoring love’s cordial moments by celebrating it abundantly

silly ,but it reminds me of Runaway Bride and how Julia Roberts really didn't know what kind of eggs she liked she always liked whatever her partner liked so when it came to marriage she always ran away until...she finally figured out her own eggs...looks like you know what kind of eggs you really like*)this is a great piece of writing

I liked this piece. A wonderful truth of letting go of the past and moving on towards a greater future.
