Oceans Away

Complex feelings weeded out through mediocre poetry

He’s charming as hell

He really is

That sarcastic air he breathes out

Insults yet intrigues me

He doesn’t understand his beauty

Or the way he smiles

Can pierce a heart from millions of miles

Oceans away

Time zones away

 

He shouldn’t know anyhow

He’d have no time

I’m an annoyance

How am I in his space?

How did I get there?

I’m just bided time

Another set of words

Oceans away

Time zones away

 

My ego keeps me bound

All about me

Me

My problems

My secret heart

Me.

He’s just bided time

Another cute face

Another set of words

Another idea

Another muse

My heart is oceans away.

I kinda liked the flow and self-teasing

Love is such a fickle thing. Being it an actual Ocean or a figurative one it absoultely can feel like we are oceans apart from one another at times. Very thought provoking read.
