“HEROES”

 

 

We all look for heroes

Like a bolt from the blue

Someone who can inspire

Or tell us what to do

 

The world is so chaotic

And screams fill the air

We search in desperation

For someone that will care

 

I never found the answer

Or someone for the election

Until I found myself

Looking upon my on reflection

 

You don’t need wings

Or even a secret I.D

To be the best person

That you’ve longed to be

 

It only takes courage

And doing what is right

The spark of a single candle

Can chase away the night

 

Whether you’re a child

Or even elderly & gray

The truth of your being

Is more than what you say

 

That’s when I realized

That hope begins with me

As long as I try my best

I’m all I’ve longed to be

 

Some angels are invisible

Others stand at our side

I’ve found the greatest hero
