"ebony beautiful" (A Missive To My Sisters)

"ebony beautiful" (A Missive To My Sisters)

A Poem by Kenny L. Mitchell

“Ebony Beautiful”

(A Missive To My Sisters)

Let me drink you

The sweetest vintage

Of your ruby red lips

Inebriating me like no other

I inhale your euphoric skin

Dark as midnight blue

That tastes of baker’s chocolate

The eloquence of your soul

Echoes against my trembling skin

A lyrical equation across the void indigo

The essence of feminine mystique

The prophecy of a thousand dazzling stars

Fall in perfect alignment & synchronicity

In celestial amazement of your beauty

With one gentle touch

I fall upwards into the sky

Spinning past Orion’s belt

And into the very sea of tranquility

You my dark, enchanting lover

Fill me with eternal happiness

And bequeath me with tenderness

I love you for all time

Wishing only to worship

I subsist upon the perpetual glory

That I have miraculously discovered

In the sweetness of your  kiss
