Plight of a Fat CatA Poem by kaylaWent to my food bowl this morning only to see the cat food I despise: it's the food the vet recommended that my owners went out to buy. I can almost taste it from here, the vegetables and lack of meat- but I know they won't refill the bowl until I finally suck it up and eat. I snoop around the carpet, looking for leftovers of their meals, but all I get is my own furballs and healthy vitamin pills. As I strut across the house I wonder how could they treat me this way? Don't they understand that fattening food helps me through my hard days? My owners are never at home, it's just me by myself. So I turned to my Meow Mix just like anybody else. But then I gained some weight and they took me to the vet. All of a sudden they wanted to care, wanted to keep me as a healthy pet. So now I'm stuck here with healthy catfood that doesn't taste good at all. So I'll just sniff the floor for leftovers until I'm finally again small. © 2012 kaylaAuthor's Note
