Prayer is a Wonderful Thing

During these uncertain times devotional work fills my need.

       Prayer is a Wonderful Thing

Often, I think about family and friends

I love to pray for them all.

Sometimes I pray for folks I don’t know

When I’m moved to answer the call.

Sometimes I’m praying in silence

If I don’t know where to begin.

I let God sort it out, He knows what it’s about,

Prayer is a wonderful thing.

Prayer - is a wonderful thing, more powerful than I know.

It takes me from the fool that I am

To a more thoughtful and penitent man.

I understand how helpless I am,

It’s more powerful than I know.

    Prayer - is a wonderful thing, more powerful than I know.

        The righteous cry and the Lord will hear

        And deliver us out of our troubles and fears.  (Ps. 34:17)

Prayer - is a wonderful thing, our Bible tells us so.

“Call upon Me and I will answer and show

   You great and mighty things that you don’t even know.” (Jer. 33:3)
