third to the party

third to the party

A Poem by knightcall

i'm losing my head
my body shipped out
earlier today
i never ask why
i do the things i do
why i can't sleep
when there are two pagers on the table

today i received some comfort from
a new friend
a warm feeling enters my blood
holds me through
the storm living in my head

in a few days
i'll have the leash of alert
tied to me at
two different points
a chemical induced vibration
makes me eyes big
my legs young and sprinting

there's an experience to carry
maybe it will stick
most likely it will
the emotional memory
resonates and shakes and
invades your sleep

pick me up my friends
form mountains under my feet
bathe me in your friendship
listen to my wounds
i catch these things
as a third party to life

Excellent write my good man. I enjoyed the last few lines,
"listen to my wounds
i catch these things
as a third party to life"
