A Cold MomentA Poem by Z.
Soon the night lulls the world
to sleep, but I stay awake, curled thoughts and tingling nerves noticing every lines and curves. Somehow I can't fall asleep, and I hear the nature's somber, deep song--crickets chirping, the rain kissing the Earth, glooming with pain. Every sound, my heart pounds louder, beats faster; I am drowned by the nightmares of the shadows, restless feelings--a harsh river flows. Every inch of my skin freeze, as the spinning blades sneeze a harsh draft of chill; heat leaves, even as I roll down my sleeves. I'm more than awake, my body full of energy, with my eyes groggy. As the world slumbers in eerie stillness, a cold moment hugs me to darkness. © 2016 Z.Author's Note
