Rip Tides

Rip Tides

Rip Tides

Are where the story rides
Is where their faces hide
Is where these faces lied

Why drown me out?

Rip tides shrieking through my snout
Only now you hear me out
Only now you see me shout

Through the rip tides, you never hear me
Though I know my voice is eerie,
How am i to be cheery?
Not only you have reason to fraught
Through the rip tides, I am caught

You were never who I thought you were
The rip tides fought, my vision a blur

Only now, I have been learning
How much the rip rides are hurting
They have never stopped
That was only your thought

Here, I've stayed caught
My life in distraught
The battle I fought
Or the vision I lost

Who knows the reason
I'll just never fit the season

I stay, riding rip tides
Living, within the lies
Hurting, saving your lives

Never knowing why
Staying with the rip tides
