And they're scared

I feel it too
Empty, silent, dark
Almost as if death was upon us
Creeping in, swift, stealth
Reaching its hand for our hearts

Bravery is just
Courage is might
Yet, theres something missing
Something necessary
Something vital

Then it hits
Half the army, gone
The rest in shock
In awe
In panic

They don't know what to do
Run, cower, flee
Stay, fight, be brave
Their hearts say fight
Their mind says cower

But they stay
They fight
They win

Then its me again
So cold, so helpless
