HomeA Poem by kristolliniWhere the heart is.
I don't know why your eyes always seem to seek out mine,
Or how in conversations our words easily intertwine, I can't begin to fathom the quickness of your wit, Or the subsequential laughter I succumb to in a fit, I told myself to not think of the touches of your skin, The gentle brushes of your hand against my subtle grin,
I did not know quite what to think when you asked me for my hand, Until you got down on one knee did I fully understand: All that we shared, the laughs, the talks, the exploratory roams, Led up to me locking eyes with you and knowing that I'm home.
