Take me home

Take me home

A Poem by klarity

I've been traveling for so long,
walking my way through the plains,
fighting storms, battling rains,
getting back to where I belong.

The railroad should take me home.
At least that's what I was told.
I wouldn't know wherelse to go
without the train's track below.

Having survived hunger and strife,
wondering if I've followed the right track
for I should have already come back
to my kids, my dog and my wife.

My heart will stay so heavily bleached,
as long, my home, I haven't reached.
Sill I see my loved ones past this lane?
Or will I forever walk this railroad again?
