Saying “I love you” brings fear and sadness.

Why is that?

Is it because I longed for you to love me back?

Fear that you would never say it back?

I say this words but silence is your constant response.

Hanging up the phone as tears fell.

Laying in bed as I silently yell.

My heart ache and let darkness do its spell.
