Thankfulness

Being Thankful for me is.....

          I am most Thankful for you Sugarplum

          That's what God's greatest gift has done

          For me in this life for sure

          Even though there is no remedy or cure

          For a broken heart in a million pieces

          For this I can only write a thesis

          And Thank God Everyday

          That I had you 28 years and you didn't go away

           But 28 years and nine months to the day

           You would be taken, what could I say

           Never to come back in my door

           To be taken to another shore

            But I want to thank God for you

            My Baby for 28 years, my glue

            You served your purpose down here

            You left your legacy she has no fear

            Why should she, she still feels her momma's love

             Even if it's from Heaven up above

             Thank you Lord for letting me have her that long

             She is my wonderful song

             She is the end of the most beautiful chapter of my life

             She will always be in my heart and my light

             She will always be loved and cherished by me

             This Thanksgiving I'm most Thankful for her you see

             God called her home and maybe she wasn't ready

              But she was always a rock and always steady

              She was my sunshine on a cloudy day

              She will always be in my heart to stay
