That's My Baby Girl

You were so perfect when I first saw you

You had the most beautiful round head too

You opened your eyes just for me

You were my little precious baby

I loved you so as soon as I saw you face

I knew I would dress you in pink and lace

I knew I would spoil you rotten as can be

I couldn't wait for you to get to know me

I loved you so much I would break down and cry

Sometimes I would look up and ask God why

Did I have such a perfect little girl

The most beautiful one in the whole wide world

You delighted me every day

You made me laugh in all kinds of ways

Without you I wouldn't be whole

Without you there'd be a hole in my soul

Thank you God for your Greatest Gift

One that I will run and be so swift 

To run to her and give her a kiss

To know that I would miss

Her if she were not here

Then one day she met him and I feared

He wasn't good and then

He took his hands

Around her neck so tight 

She didn't make it through the night

She was gone from me

I lost myself you see

for eternity
