Why did you take her?

I would just like to know

Remember when she was 8 months old

I said "I'm gonna love her, but please don't ever take her" I told

I was so serious you see

I meant every word of it coming from me

I trusted you that you said yes

You know I loved her with all my heart

because I was her Mom I guess

right from the start

She meant the world to me

I know you could see

I thought you promised to be

love of my life only

when you took her it was a surprise

but it also made me realise

whom was in control

down to her very soul

you took her home with you

fitting as it may be too

it broke my heart in two
