we shed tears for you too
Sons, brothers, grandsons, your the ones
that were there on many days the sun was done
you saw the horrors, lived the nightmares
we have the utmost respect for you and always care
You are in our every thought and prayer on this day
you are cherished by Americans across the land in every way
rest well where ever you may be 
we wish the very best for you to see
your loyalty, your time, your honor to us
to guard our freedom that we have thus
we owe you so much we do even know
how grateful to be and how to show
our gratitude when you come home
to treat you like heroes you are in your own
right and deserve it for now and always
you can count back now until a ways
So let us thank you properly
