A Taste of Something Real

A Taste of Something Real

A Poem by kylie.lockheart

Like aspens in the fall
There's a reason
For the flourishing
To die.
A point to make
For autumn's
Long stretch.

I'm falling
With them.
These leaves
To the ground,
In complete
Quiet.
In a silence
That speaks to all.

That gentle ache,
Saying:
"Wait-
The wind
Will take care
Of the rest."
