Anorexic's lullabyA Poem by Nina LoveLightning shine's, Bright in your eyes. It illuminates, every bone, That's trapped under your skin. As you stand there, Stare in the mirror As the rain falls, Like tears down your face. Lightning strikes, Quick in the mirror. Glass breaks, And falls like rain, As the blood runs, Like tears down your face. I can feel every rib, When will you stop this? I can count every bone, When will this torture end? I see every vein, Standing out on your wrist. Can you resist the urge, To slash it? Lightning flows, Like fire in your blood. It won't let you sleep, So take a pill or ten! Your body is too thin, You’re too weak to resist. Now sleep, And never wake again For you, This is a beginning. Not an end.
