(no less) Subtle

(no less) Subtle

A Poem by Nina Love

The truth is neither black nor white,

But a subtle shade of grey.

My blood is neither ruby nor blue,

But the subtle shade of sky in may.

Love is neither pure nor ever-bright,

But casts a subtlety of ever-changing light,

And I am neither perfect nor goddess,

But a subtle form of beautiful.

No less...

No less than she

Who glows beside me.

I am no less strong,

No less the warrior,

Yet they all underestimate me

For my subtlety.
