awaken the life of my soul

there is nothing more awakening to the soul

than to have a powerful  encounter with death

' Why be it powerful? ' one may ask

simply because...it sought my life but had not permission to touch this  soul

 

that experience alone woke me out of  my series death threatening  events

I seek the power that dwells in the heavens to walk this earth till I am rightful old

Death has no rule over me  until he that dwells in my heart speaks to my soul

and say unto my child lets set sail...

This is very beautiful and touching and a great way to look at life, death and spirituality. Unfortunately, death is a part of living, but when you look at it the way you have chosen to look at it in this poem it makes me appreciate every moment I have here on Earth, yet look forward to the time when my higher power decides my time is up.
