No loveA Poem by Pointblank
No Love Smiles and laughter bits of use to be. You held my hand, touched my face and asked me to stay. You say you love me. I reached out . I came to you. Loud, rude, hurtful words spat from your face onto mine. Why? Did I read the signals so wrong? You don’t see me cry. I won’t give you that satisfaction. On your terms everything is. I am just here at your will. I haven’t anywhere to run, me and our babies. They need you more than me. I could leave….be free. What is freedom without the last twenty years of memories. My kids. I am here still. For them I sacrifice. I sacrifice. My self esteem, Happiness, Love. No love for me. Mature love is out of the question. Not good enough for you not good enough for anyone. © 2008 Pointblank |
