Lord do you see me?

Plain Jane nothing special over here.

Have I dug this hole I’m in?

Was my happiness always under my control? 

 

Lord send me someone

A heart who listens and understands

Who will dry my tears

Laughs at the same things

 

A soul that needs my love

Without having to work for love in return

How long shall I wait lord?

It is difficult to bear

 

I must hang on for my children

They will out live me

It is they that need

Need more than me

 

Am I destined to be alone?

With my feelings and desires

I need to give these things

While I have it to give

 

Lord do you hear me?

I need you

Can you help me?
