HollowA Poem by Tai Ryens'Twas a burden to have control etched deep into my wooden ligaments: strings meant to be played by the players with knowledge of how to assign a voice within my hollow innards. And yet so, so, so many people beg me to escape from your clutches; claiming that I am but a plaything used only for entertainment and pleasing of others. Do they not see that I am hollow either way? Destined to disappear if not for you? Is it so hard to fathom that I would be tossed into a landfill; lying lifeless in the dirt if not for you?
