AwaitingA Poem by Tai Ryensawaiting admittance . . . and judgement . . .She stood before the heavens' gates awaiting admittance, yet ne'er was nor to be granted, no matter how many savored tastes she perceived, she would and always would be but another spirit resting restlessly beyond the heavens' gates, awaiting admittance . . .
Once did she attempt to step foot, not with one limb but two, only to be denied entrance, and left to wander about, awaiting admittance . . .
Never did an invitation come, never will it come, yet if you would do so much as to spare a glance, you would see her, forever deprived of rest, awaiting admittance . . . © 2012 Tai RyensAuthor's Note
