Memory

An old memory popped up so I wrote this

I can feel
just as it was then
Every time I hear your voice
And so I choke
Was it just a phase
Something I can never get back
Were we ever real
This fading reverie
Can you even remember
Just how it was before
And now a time we call
Broken
Has taken over

I liked the poem. Took reader on the journey to learning sadness and separation.
