Embrace What

The path is always rockier than what it seems.

On the edge, I kiss the clouds
Reaching for more
Than I could ever display
Toes stretched to the tip
Holding all of my weight
Alone in the sunlight
Covered in cold dismay
I splay open my insides
Too impatient to wait
A face so familiar
His smile broken in states
Her eyes without shining
Signal my time is my place
Do I let go
And simply trust in my fate
Or stretch even farther
And rely on what I create
