She said, "I can't do it, Ma'
I'm so scared of death
Life swallows me whole sometimes,
And death passes me by
I question but never verify
False truths get me by
The corridor of chance is a labyrinth,
But nobody ever told me about that
And once I turn my back on life,
Death sneaks around."
Ma' said, "Don't question what you know
Forever born and descended into the heavens, you never knock
You know what you see and feel the wind in constant harmony
Correspond your letters to your job here on Earth
Pay the taxes of your sins, the fears that push you back
They take away the opportunity."
She said, "Ma', what opportunity? And what for?"
Ma' said, "Life's revolution is marbled into your frown
You fear what you could become
Your power, too explosive to leave no remnants,
Touching people, wounding millions"
"Well, thanks a ton," she said
"But Ma', I’m not sure, I’m afraid
I think I could carry a gun
Maybe I could even bring it to hell."
