Now, cry / Keep on crying

Now, cry / Keep on crying

A Poem by Lana

Why do you cry?

You've got to grow, honey
Your mind has to be pressurized
Air-tight, dancing in the dark
Barefoot, naked, running in the park

But why do you keep on crying?

You've got to grow, honey
Perhaps, like a plant that needs watering
You've got to cry
Sweet, tied to the armistice, tantalizing fears whisper in your ear, but you don't let it bleed
Now don't ask why; there's no use not to cry
You've got to grow, honey
You've got to get old
