RebirthA Poem by adanetteDescription of a changed lifeCold stalks the shadows While light fills the wall Shattered pieces of stone Broken shards of the law
Enter hard-pressed salvation Free grace hammered cost Plans sang in pearled sorrow Ancient songs for the lost
Flow free love unhindered Bound sin can't touch you Grace floods the door way His love gushes through
Open jars of red wine Bread broken and torn Haven of peace Ripped open and born
Slow falls the dawning While time breathes a cry Desperate measures of men Leave their marks in the sky
Only glimmers of hope Fall on hard diamond tears Only words without sound Fall on dead hardened ears
Yet free sounds the music And long plays the strain Composed on His altar And written in pain
Grace upon grace Blood poured on pure white Washed in the fountain And dressed in the Light ~ Cathy Hall Sharpe © 2009~ © 2014 adanetteReviews
