Lonely

I am cheerful in person,
But depressing on paper.
I am clumsy with speaking,
But poetic in writing.

I can be sunny and bright
Or dark and depressing
I can be kind and sweet
Or cynical and blunt

Alone in my room
I am upset and pathetic
I am disgrunteled and unhappy
I am cynical and hopeless

Surrounded by others
I am cheerful and fun
I am sweet and kind
I am loving and optimistic

So who am I decieving?
Myself or everyone else?

An honest write about pretense. This is what most of us do - be how they want us to be, the faked smile and politeness but when you're left with yourself all hell breaks loose.
I like the lines "I am clumsy with speaking but poetic in writing" - I can relate to that.
