limit to your loveA Poem by Laurahabitual fallings with inevitable endings i watched you fade like the bruises on my neck the crimson coloured marks gone just like your faint freckles folding into the crinkles of your face each time you laughed grew roots around my bones and sprouted flowers in my heart i spend my days plucking the petals but still, you love me not
even though every inch of you had already been mapped onto my body with every touch you created constellations the fourth of july fireworks but your voice poured into the cracks
you made what a web i've woven myself in your bleary eyed blue begged for me back beneath the flickering stars and beside your familiar scent i became tangled in your knots once more © 2015 Laura |
