Some things are not meant to be more than a moment. This remind's me of the song with the same title by Amy Lee and Nirvana. It's a beautiful song. As beautiful as the thought you're trying to convey here.

Why thank you! "heart shaped box" by Nirvana was my muse for this piece, as I've heard the song a million times on repeat because Nirvana is on of my favourite bands.

In the last line, do you mean "now" or "know"? I think "now" fits better, but that's me... I like how emotionless this is. I take it as someone just getting out of a long-term relationship, and wondering what happened, why were they dumped? but instead of being angry or upset like most such poems i read, this is more logical, just a simple inquiry. brilliant dear.
