Awakening

A poem I wrote after the ending of my previous relationship.

Like waking up in a cold sweat; forehead dripping, groggy and wet

It feels so unreal to me; like you never even left

Is this a game, a dream, or reality?

It feels like real pain that lurked inside of me; 

But how can it be; It was just December you said you loved me;

But then I awakened; 

Your picture still there on my mirror;

Then actuality started getting clearer;

You were gone; like the wind and the rain

Now all that you left is my heart, full of pain.
