Waiting

I will keep on waiting.

I'm waiting for something,

a sign,

a message,

a person,

something.

Anything to show me

who I am.

Who I was.

Who I will become.

 

I'm waiting for something,

to guide me along a path.

A path to success,

a path to love,

a path to happiness.

Something to guide me

in the path less chosen.

 

I'm waiting for

anything,

something.

I'm waiting to find myself.

I understand this poem. We need reason and purpose to be alive and go forward. I like the desire to know what is coming and the need to know what is expected out of one life. I believe we decide our journey. I tell the young people. Travel, test life and have fun. We will work for 50 years. You are young for a short time. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
