Statue faces unmoving Unable from ashes to rise Is their heart still beating? Or from their past still fleeing?
Feet of weights wondering On paths leading far away From dreams had long ago Of a destination no one will know
Calloused fingers working still To mend the rift so large Scars don’t heal, graves already
dug But both can be covered with one
